Position: Associate Director – Information, Media & Entertainment Business Consulting

  • Focused on building out Cognizant’s Digital Media Consulting Practice
  • Created white papers and marketing materials, presented webinars, attended industry conferences, and assisted in RFI/RFP responses
  • Managed and developed on-site and remote team members across the practice and projects

      • Functioned as a Project Manager on a month long project to develop a mobile application proof of concept for engaging sports fans at home. The application allowed users to be able to root for their teams from the comforts of their own homes, but still make an impact and feel like a part of the real world game.
      • This project involved managing an onshore and offshore team of over 6 people to gather requirements, create designs, develop, test, and deploy an iPhone app
    • Project Area: Broadcast Digital Asset Management Implementation
      Project Role: Technical Manager/Lead

      • Worked with a 20-member global team to build a broadcast media asset management platform that integrated 15 storage, production, and cataloguing systems including MediaBeacon, Front Porch, AVID Interplay MAM/PAM, Final Cut Pro/Server, Aspera, Nesbit, SIMS, RightsLogic, iNews, and other broadcast and DAM-related systems
      • Managed a 3 person offshore team in implementing user interface deliverables using an Agile methodology
      • Wrote detailed requirements, gap analysis documents, and design specifications for user interfaces and MAM integrations with editing, storage, file transfer, video player, and asset management systems

  • Developed process, operations, tools, and metrics to govern the content quality and archival of NBCU’s file based archival masters and mezzanine files
  • Managed Digital Vault operations team as well as partnered with post house vendors to digitally deliver master content

  • Created an Access database for all application portfolio simplification analysis and scoring results, as well as a central repository for our team’s documentation

  • Developed, wrote, and tested battery logging code on a Linux based phone and also a PC application that parsed the battery logging information into a easier to use text and csv format
  • Researched information on developing a PC application that would log basic battery information from the phone to the PC using a Bluetooth connection
  • Learned about Lithium Ion battery cell performance, battery charging, and Bluetooth technology

  • Researched, ported, and developed a local and web server based feature licensing program for a future Windows CE based Keithley measurement product
